MEET YOUR FACILITATORS:
Katrina Wynn
Seeking balance in her life, Katrina took her first Yoga Class in 2010. Instantly feeling a strong connection to herself and to her yoga practice, she became a regular practitioner. As her focus shifted and her Self awareness grew, her life dramatically changed. She began to feel a sense of peace, inner stillness and joy, discovering the balance she had been seeking.
Passionate about yoga, she knew it would remain forever in her heart and life. Feeling drawn to go deeper, Katrina attended her first Hot Yoga 26&2 Teacher Training in 2012. As she began to explore other styles of yoga, she became certified in Yin Yoga and Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga. Feeling called to hold space for her community to heal through the power of yoga, Katrina opened her yoga studio in 2015. Combining her love of yoga and travel she created Yoga Union Retreats and hosts international and local yoga retreats. She is the founder and current studio owner of Yoga Union in Tsawwassen, BC, Canada, where she facilitates and teaches public classes, special offerings, and yoga teacher trainings, as she continues to learn and grow.https://www.yogaunion.yoga/
Ocian Ward
Ocian has dedicated her life to being of service and walking a path of remembering how to be in right relationship with the earth and all beings in this realm. She started this path 13 years ago with sound and energy work, then realized she wanted to make an impact with people and began learning Numa Somatic breathwork and animism rituals from Celtic, Andean and Hawaiian lineages. Ocian has been sitting with plant medicines for 10 years in the Shipibo lineage. She is dedicated to creating trauma aware, safe circles, ceremonies and experiences for people to explore and heal themselves.

Our modern, Scandinavian-inspired deluxe cottages were designed with simplistic coziness in mind. Comfy beds, soft linens, fluffy pillows and a reading window seat offer perfect places to snuggle up to a loved one, or with a good book. Wake up and take a morning shower in the gorgeous bathroom, or take it outside in the steamy, outdoor shower adjoining the bathroom. A covered porch lined with warm cedar perches you with a perfect view of the property’s centerpiece, our magnificent maple and alder trees.

The comfy beds and cozy linens await your dreams, while the picture window and its lush foliage views await your daydreams. Use the space for creative pursuits, or as a basecamp for a walk in the forest. Rainy day? Sit outside on your covered porch and enjoy the fresh, pine-scented ocean air and the sound of raindrops caressing the old-growth trees.

This cottage offers similar amenities as our deluxe cottages with added seclusion. Wake up to sunbeams illuminating the room through the windows before sipping tea on your porch nestled on the edge of our Alder grove. A rustic outdoor shower awaits you with sweet-smelling natural products to lather on.

With a spacious closet for storage, soft linens and warmly-lit bedside lamps, these small, simple rooms are perfect for our solo travelers. The shared full bathroom next door includes two sinks and a walk-in shower. *Located upstairs in the Onyx Lodge, our main gathering space, this room can have some noise from below.
