Lunar Eclipse Yoni Steam & Song Circle

This is a threshold moment.

A full moon already brings culmination, illumination, and emotional clarity.

An eclipse deepens that energy… it interrupts the usual rhythm, inviting truth to surface where it’s been hidden, avoided, or gently postponed. Under the light of the Full Moon… and the rare total lunar eclipse - we gather in circle to soften, release, and complete.

Eclipses are liminal moments.

Portals for resolution, clearing, and closure.

A time when what has been hidden can be gently seen, and what feels unfinished can be lovingly tended.

This evening invites you to pause and reflect:

What feels incomplete in my body, my womb, my life?

We will come together in a yoni steam and song circle, weaving warmth, breath, herbal medicine, and voice.

The steam offers deep physical and energetic support to the pelvic bowl. While song opens pathways for expression, remembrance, and connection.

This is a space to be held.

To listen inward.

A bit about yoni steaming:

What is Yoni Steaming?

Yoni steaming (yoni in sanskrit means "womb" or "source") is an ancient practice that is thought to be beneficial in cleansing the vagina and uterus, regulating the menstrual cycle, easing the pain of period cramps and bloating, and aiding in healing and soothing after childbirth. The practice can also be very meditative.

The Yoni steam process involves sitting over a steaming pot of herb-infused water, generally for about 10-30 minutes per session. As the steam rises and the herbs penetrate vaginal tissue, it is thought that the vagina and uterus are cleansed and soothed.

Benefits:

There are many benefits of yoni steaming. It functions as a natural and simple method of cleansing and detoxifying the uterus and vagina. Yoni steaming can also aid in maintaining reproductive health, increasing fertility, and balancing hormones, which can help to regulate periods and ease unpleasant symptoms of menstruation such as cramps, headaches, and vaginal discomfort.

What to bring for your steam:

*cushions, blanket, towels (some provided)

*yoga blocks or books should you want a bit more firm support.  (I have lots here!)

*a medium sized ceramic pot or glass bowl or the like 

* long skirt or dress ( yes, you are covered the whole time)

NOTES

*If you are bleeding or pregnant during this gathering, you will not be able to steam, but not to worry, this is only a portion of the evening together. There will be sound medicine played during this portion so journaling, meditation and resting is welcome if you are bleeding. 

*If you have an IUD in, you steam with the slight possibility of the IUD coming out of place. Though I have held steams in the past with people with IUD's in with no problems. So it's up to you.
